¿What is Oleggo LiveStream?

Oleggo LiveStream is an Open Source Wordpress Plugin that helps to create a Streaming page for an event.

¿What can I do with this plugin?

This plugin lets you to show video streaming from ustream.tv, youtube.com, vimeo.com, or whatever you want and manage Facebook and/or Twitter conversation about the event.

So, after you configure it you will have three beauty boxes:

1. The first will have the video streaming.
2. The second will have twitter streaming.
3. The third will have facebook streaming.

¿This plugin is hard to configure?

The configuration of this plugin is really easy.

1. First you can configure the video streaming like you can see in this picture:

   

   Here you can activate this box, and insert the embed video. Easy, right?

2. Then, you can configure the twitter streaming like in this picture:

   

   Here you can activate this box, and set its width and height. Also you can configure the twitter search (to find what tweets to show), the refresh period for search new tweets and the tweet begining text (for the users that tweets from here).
   Is recomended that the beginning text have any of the searching words.

3. Then, you can configure the facebook live streaming like in this picture:

   

   Like in twitter box here you can activate the box, and set the widht and height.
   After that here is the most complicated thing configurating this plugin: get the Facebook Application Id. Is not so hard, you only need to follow these 6 steps; but if is hard work to you to do, you can still use our Facebook Aplication Id (default value).
   Then you need to set an event name. You can use any event name you want, but take care that all the box shows all messages sent to a same Application Id and Event Name.

4. Save your configuration.

¿And how can i add the boxes to my blog?

Oh. This is really hard.

Add the text [oleggo-livestream] to the page or blog post in that you want to show the streaming.

Other things about this plugin

This is the really first version of this plugin. We have in mind to upgrade this plugin to add some new cool features, but if you have a suggestion to do, you are welcome.

So far we have been focused on creating Likexo, a social network based on people’s likes.  This gave us the necessary knowledge and tools to deliver high quality products to people wishing to pursue the construction of one of them.

That is the reason that drives us to create Oleggo, and in this way broaden our horizon offering you that we have learned and acquired in recent years; we are fervent believers that new experiences we face, will give us a greater potential to improve day by day in the construction of software oriented to these new markets.
